The Dutch Eventing Young Horse Trials, the series for 4- and 5-year-old eventing horses, will be renewed in 2022. The final will already take place on June 1, a beautiful stage on the Wednesday of the international Renswoude Horse Trials. Participants have several chances for the best possible starting position, with one of the preliminary rounds in Waregem for the first time.
This makes the series, which is highly valued not only in the eventing world for its horse-friendly design, more compact. What remains is the presentation in the dressage ring, immediately followed by a short jumping course and immediately afterwards a number of cross obstacles in the terrain. The assessment is again in the hands of three jury members: Irene Wolf, Marc van den Beke and Bert Wagenvoort.
To make the set-up even more friendly, the organization has decided to set up a practice facility: on March 12, everyone will have the opportunity to explore the terrain in Renswoude. This is followed by two preliminary rounds: on April 9 in Renswoude and on May 14 in Renswoude.
Participants with a sufficient score in one of the preliminary rounds qualify for the final. The assessment in one of the preliminary rounds is the starting point for the final. Participants can start in several preliminary rounds. The highest ranking per combination counts as the starting point for the final that will be held on Monday June 6th in Renswoude. PAY ATTENTION! This was originally Wednesday, June 1st, but has been rescheduled.
The competition and the final are live streamed again via nieuws.horse/live, last year’s broadcasts have attracted tens of thousands of viewers around the world.
