Carrera VDL x Coconut Grove XX out of the 4* sporting mare Coconut Girl
Magic Coconut is only just becoming established but he has an awful lot of what it takes to reach the top. Sire and dam are there already, so Magic Coconut’s lineage is combined with a shot of thoroughbred when it comes to jumping, which will make him even more suitable for eventing.
Magic Coconut is already an impressive stallion that will pass on size and capacity and is capable of improving the gaits of his descendants. Horsewoman Renske Kroeze characterised him as a fine, workable stallion with a great attitude and ample overview. On top of that, he has a lot of balance and an excellent gallop. In 2021, Renske will be presenting Magic Coconut in the Dutch Eventing Young Horse Trials for 4-year-olds and also the Blom Cup, the competition for showjumpers.
His sire, Carrera VDL, naturally has a really strong basis with world-class horses Cardento and Baloubet de Rouet. But let’s not forget his dam, Vantiels Esprit, who jumped internationally at 1.45m and is the half-sister of the famous showjumper Tinka’s Boy, who shone with rider Markus Fuchs. Carrera VDL has competed for many years, achieving numerous top positions at the highest level of 1.60m with rider Jur Vrieling.
Magic Coconut’s dam is the impressive Elite mare, Coconut Girl, that does well in all elements, bred and ridden by Patrick Verbakel: she jumps 1.35m, competes in Z2 dressage and is very successful at international 3*/4*-level eventing. One of Coconut Girl’s high points was the victory in the Dutch Championship in eventing at 3*-level, in Varsseveld in 2019.
